A generalized objective function based on weight coefficient for topology-finding of tensegrity structures

This paper proposes a generalized objective function for the topology-finding of tensegrity structures to be able assign selection priorities different members and efficiently find multiple through single ground structure. The is constructed by sum product member internal forces weight coefficients. coefficients can defined adjusted freely change in process. By adjusting coefficients, generated. determined designer according practical design requirements preferences, e.g., length limitations, position requirements. In addition, circular computing strategy proposed coefficient adjustment obtain large number topology typical regular structures, as well irregular ellipsoid are carried out demonstrate effectiveness method. Furthermore, using method, novel based on common Archimedes polyhedrons have been found; detailed information (e.g., connectives, self-stress) given an open database future investigation applications.
